Diskography info
DISK [Jul 1995]
US E-CD, Elektra, 61838-2
US E-CD, WEA, ROM-85
NOTE: This "Enhanced CD" includes both regular CD audio, and
multimedia data for CD-ROMs, compatible with both PCs and
Macs. The computer portion is a virtual fruit salad of
various Quicktime interview clips, music, and a so-called
"click mix" of Everytime You Touch Me, which dynamically
lets you create your own lame 'remixes'. To start things,
you must click on little icons that fly randomly across the
screen. The interviews and Hymn video are neat. Requires
at least a double-speed CD-ROM drive and 8 megabytes of RAM.
Contains 3 tracks playable from a normal CD player:
3:41 Everytime You Touch Me (album version)
5:59 Feeling So Real (Ecstatic Mix)
4:49 Shining (previously unreleased)
The CD-ROM portion contains
5:31 Into The Blue (album version)
3:39 Move (EP version)
5:15 First Cool Hive (album version)
plus the following music videos:
3:45 Hymn [This Is My Dream]
3:52 Everytime You Touch Me [Beatmasters 7" Mix]
...and other things!
help
djdedd suggests the following
fix for running Disk under Windows 95:
after long perseverence and lurking at half a dozen news groups, i have
finally found the detailed fix for viewing moby disk in win95!
step 1: find out if your cdrom drive can read this type of cdrom.
this type of cdrom is the type with the computer stuff at track
one, index zero.
you can tell if other troublesome cd's are of this type by
putting the cd in your normal cd player and as soon as it starts,
back the cd up with the reverse scan. you should find that you
run into a really long track at index zero.
how to do it in win95: a) shut down and restart in ms-dos. using
the prompt in win95 alone will not work.
b) call up your cdrom directory and look to see if the listing
shows the computer tracks. audio tracks are labeled cda001
or something similar. if you can see the computer track, yer
ok. proceed to step 2. if not, yer screwed. you wont be able
to use the cd unless you get a new cdrom drive.
step 2: find out the version of your cdrom virtual devivce driver.
how to do it: a) navigate to the following file:
windows|system|iosubsys|sci1hlp.vxd
b) right click and select properties. then select version on the
tab if you dont have version 4.00.950, all you need is that file
version. if you do, im clueless as to how to fix your problem.
step 3: e-mail me and ill send you the correct version of the file
you need. if you know anyone who has had a similar problem,
forward him/her so s/he/it can enjoy his/her cd.
You can purchase the Disk CD-ROM from CDnow.
